Stonewall Democrats of Austin - March 2022 IN PERSON meeting :)
The Stonewall Democrats of Austin will hold its monthly membership meeting on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 6:30 pm. With the return to COVID-19 restriction Stage 2, WE WILL MEET IN PERSON on the patio behind the Central Market North Lamar Cafe  Ricard Martinez, Equality Texas CEO will give us an update on the Texas AG and Governor's attacks on transgender children, their families and doctors. Come learn how you can help fight back! We will take nominations for the secretary and treasurer positions on the executive team. Most importantly, we will have a chance to celebrate being in community in person again! Grab a snack and a drink in Central Market and join us outside. The weather will be glorious. |

December 8, 2021 Membership Meeting at 6:30 pm - Judicial Candidates
The Stonewall Democrats of Austin will hold its monthly membership meeting on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at 6:30 pm. Due to the continued uncertainty around COVID and having in-person meetings, the Stonewall Democrats of Austin will not be conducting our usual candidate endorsement forum. Instead we will allow candidates in contested primary races the opportunity to speak to our members via Zoom. Our December 8 meeting will be for contested Judicial primary races. We will host the meeting remotely on ZOOM, with the meeting connection information below. Our January 12, 2022 meeting will be for contested NON-Judicial primary races. Because we will not be meeting in person we will be voting on the endorsements via electronic ballots, which will be sent out to current dues paid members following our January 12 meeting with the results being announced at our February 9 membership meeting. A reminder that the membership dues for SDA are for a calendar year (January to December). In order to be eligible to vote in the endorsement process, you must be a current member in good standing for at least 30 days prior to the endorsement meeting. October Membership Meeting Cancelled
Apologies for the last minute notice, but due to a newly scheduled Congressional hearing tomorrow on redistricting, our speaker will be unable to present at our October membership meeting, therefore we are cancelling the meeting. However Redistricting will be the topic for our November 10th membership meeting and we hope you will be able to join us at that time.
