Early voting has begun and runs through November 1st. Election Day is Tuesday, November 5th. Citizens will be voting on 9 Constitutional Amendments, 1 City of Austin Bond item, and if you live in Texas House District 50 you have the opportunity to elect our endorsed candidate, Celia Israel to replace Mark Strama.

Stonewall Democrats of Austin have also endorsed the City of Austin Affordable Housing Bonds proposition. Go to http://keepatxaffordable.org/ for more information on this effort. The organization also recommends a vote "FOR" the Texas Constitutional Amendments #1, #2, #4, #6, #7, #8 and #9. We recommend a "NO" vote on Amendments #3 and #5.

To find out where to vote click on this link: Polling Locations or download the locations in the files section (below).

Do not forget the new Texas Voter ID laws are now in effect. Some voters may face extra scrutiny at their polling location. Make sure to bring one of the following forms of Identification with you to cast your vote:  TX Driver’s License, TX Personal ID Card, TX concealed handgun license, US military ID card, US citizenship with  your photo, US passport book or card, or Election ID Certificate (EIC) issued by DPS.

Your name on your ID must match your name on the voter ID list or be "substantially similar". If you are not permitted to vote, to learn more about the Voter ID laws, or to report any issues at the polls, please visit Empower the Vote Texas, by clicking here or call the Travis County Democratic Party at 512-477-7500.
